 Inspiration

The two images above  are what gave me the inspiration for my design. I wanted the looseness of the twigs from the image on the left with the minimal usage of the flowers from the image on the right. Both these images were found on pintrest . image1: http://sphotos-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-snc7/387719_324035470960117_538598244_n.jpg Image2: http://www.flowerarranging.me.uk/design387.html

Sketches/Design

I designs three very different designs to make. The one on the right is a traditional coffin top with tulips, the bottom one is a wreath with tulips and wax flower and the top on is a tear drop with tulips and wax flower.
I decided that I liked the tear drop design best and that will be the one  would make.

Final images

This is the start of my design. I used 7 pieces of willow and bound them together near the bottom with binding wire. I then looped the willow around and bound then in to place.

I then added 5 tulips and a stem of wax flower broken in to small pieces and weave them into the frame to create movement. The two pictures above and to the side are my finished design.

Evaluation

This design was very simple and the shape looks this its only the outline. The design could have done with some more pussy willow or twigs to make the design look more 3D. Also the design could have done with some more wax flower towards the to of the design as it stops half way up. I would also make sure the mechanics are more secure as they were wobbling when I moved the design.
